I tried experiementing and I'm really not sure. What do you think?
I have tested this in the past with various stabilisation software, and the second application of the stabiliser has never improved matters, and often made things worse. Some third party stabilisers in the past actually warned against doing this.
There are limits to what any stabiliser can achieve. Inevitably there is motion during the period that the shutter is open to shoot an individual frame/field, and this cannot be removed.
Panning shots are often the worst after stabilisation, for me. Probably because I am not good at panning hand-held. Practice has not made me perfect!
